JAMAICA. MBJ Airports Limited has published a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a Food & Beverage and Specialty Retail concession pre-security at Sangster International Airport, Montego Bay.
The concession, located in the departures area comprises the development and operation of the following concepts in the following landside locations (each accessible to the general local community as well as passengers). Each proposal should reflect one option only.
Proposals must be received electronically by MBJ before 3:00pm, 18 December. The status of each proponent’s application will be communicated no later than Friday, 22 January 2021.
There are two separate spaces available for bid under the RFP: One food & beverage and one Specialty Retail, or a combined concept.
Food & Beverage services: Located pre-security in departures, the concession will serve passengers, meeters and greeters, and staff.
Specialty Retail: Located pre-security in departures, the concession will serve passengers, meeters and greeters, and staff. The option may include: specialty retail/convenience, travel, news (CTN) concept, bill payment and/or money transfer services, pharmacy, courier, photography, and other services.
Multi-concept Food & Beverage/Specialty Retail: Located pre-security in departures, the concession will serve passengers, meeters and greeters, and staff. The opportunity may include: specialty retail/convenience, travel, news (CTN) bill payment, money transfer services, pharmacy, photography services etc.
Sangster International Airport is operated by MBJ Airports Limited. Shareholders in MBJ Airports are Desarrollo De Concessiones Aerportuarias, owned by Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico (GAP) (Mexico), with a 74.5% share; and Vantage Airport Group (Canada), which has a 25.5% share. The airport is operated through a concession agreement with the Airports Authority of Jamaica for 30 years from 2003.
