Award-winning distiller of Irish Whiskey and gin including brands such as Clonakilty Double Oak, Clonakilty Port Cask, and Minke Irish Gin, Clonakilty Distillery appoints Marussia Beverages, USA as exclusive importers. This appointment builds on the existing 15 state footprint that Clonakilty has in the United States, with expansion into the following four key markets immediately: California, Colorado, Illinois, and Texas. Further states will be added soon.
Clonakilty will join Marussia’s successful portfolio of brands which will leverage its position with distributors in both existing and new markets. Marussia’s strong sales team working collaboratively with Clonakilty’s existing team on the ground will help achieve significant scaling opportunities in 2023 and beyond. “Given that Clonakilty and Marussia are already working successfully in the French market, this is an exciting opportunity to introduce our brands to a wider audience in the United States and lay the foundations in making Clonakilty the premium whiskey of choice for discerning U.S. consumers,” states Clonakilty Distillery Founder, Michael Scully.
Clonakilty is known for bringing premium whiskeys to European and United States markets, produced in a sustainable way, including the flagship, Clonakilty Single Batch Double Oak. The distillery is currently aging its very first new make whiskey, blended, and aged at Clonakilty’s Atlantic Warehouse. The brand is also known for collaborating with American breweries for limited edition releases.
