This week’s feature Drink of the Week is created by global provocateur and conceptual artist, Ai Weiwei, who places an emphasis on creating deeper connections through his iconic work, in the same way the team at The St. Regis Venice’s Art’s Bar approach their new cocktail, the AW Vision.
Paying homage to Weiwei’s Chinese heritage with the use of Baijiu rice wine, the cocktail leaves no detail out. Even the glassware is custom-created and inspired by the artist.
AW Vision
Ingredients:
- 30ml Baijiu Chinese rice wine (fat-washed with sunflower oil)
- 20ml roasted pineapple and black pepper shrub
- 15ml select bitter
- 10ml citric acid
Preparation: The AW Vision cocktail is shaken and poured elegantly into a Berengo glass purposely made for this drink.
