Dallas Bartender Chandler Tomayko has worked behind the bar for over twenty years. We are honored to host Chandler as one of Chilled 100 Spirits Awards Judges this year.

Chandler Tomayko is a chef and bartender that has 20+ years of experience behind bars all over the world. The origins of her hospitality journey are firmly rooted in precious family memories. “I guess it all began in my grandmother’s kitchen. Between the catchy Jackson 5 tunes and the sound of ice melting in a glass of Dr. Pepper and lime, her loving hands taught me to make pie.”

After graduating High School early, Chandler listened to a friend’s suggestion to try out Culinary School. The rest is history. “The second I slipped on the chef coat and walked into that kitchen, even though I spent weeks crying as I learned to chop onions in different ways, I knew. The smells, the sounds, the adrenaline rush. I knew I was born to cook.”

Most recently, she founded Heard Card Game, a great game for service industry individuals, and dedicates a lot of her time to hosting SI events around the country. Chandler is certified in Bourbon, Scotch and Canadian Whiskies. She has a highly trained palate and is proficient in tasting spirits.

The Chilled 100 Spirits Awards Deadline has been extended to May 31st. Enter HERE

We asked Chandler why brands should enter The Chilled 100 Spirits Awards:

Why are Spirits Awards useful to bartenders?

These spirit awards allow bartenders to get a feel for what offerings are available, the awards showcase brands that care about the professionals serving them and this allows bartenders an extra resource to consider when choosing how to build their menus and cocktails.

What are the benefits to spirits brands to enter?

Spirit brands can send a message to industry professionals by entering the awards. This message is that our opinions and knowledge matter and carries weight. Brands are also able to tap into a broad base of talented individuals to acquire real feedback about their products and the value it can bring to a bar program.

What should other bartenders know about the Chilled 100 Bartender Seal of Approval?

Other bartenders should know that brands that receive this seal of approval are products you can trust. Seeing that seal allows bartenders to expect quality in flavor and application possibilities.

What should spirit brands know about the Chilled 100 Bartender Seal of Approval?

Brands receiving the Bartender Seal of Approval should feel confident that their product meets the standards that we all look for in important categories such as taste, aroma, mouth feel and versatility. Brands should know that bartenders trust other bartenders. A code of honor that is unspoken, if a colleague recommends a product, I trust I will like it.

The Chilled 100 Bartender Seal of Approval is a fast track to putting your brand in bartenders’ hands and on their back bars.
